It's a.....

We had our ultrasound today and found out the sex of our baby, and we are thrilled to announce that we are having a GIRL!!! I am still a little shocked, but so so excited! It's hard to even imagine life with a little girl around here, but it will be so great! Parker is very happy too! He has been pretty sure he only wanted a girl since we first told him we were going to have a baby. Now i need to go shopping!

Snow Day!

Yesterday we got a little snowstorm, so school was cancelled. Lance had to study all day, but he was able to take a little break and build a snowman with the kids. I stayed in the warm house and captured the memories!

Parker all bundled up for the cold.

Kaeson in his layers of coats!

My three cute boys!

Parker helping dad dress the snowman. Kaeson didn't last that long, he was back in the house by then!

And ta-dah! The beautiful finished masterpiece!

Christmas Vacation (Part 2)

After spending a couple weeks with the Anderson family, we headed to good ole' SV and spend Christmas with the Taylor family. We had so much fun! I'm realizing as I do this that I didn't take very many pictures of our trip, so I apologize, but here are a few. My entire family was together for Christmas this year, so it made it especially fun. Me and the kids were even able to spend lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa after Christmas too, so it was an awesome trip.

One night we all braved the FREEZING weather, and went caroling. It's a fave tradition of mine! This is the whole gang right before we headed out. Parker wouldn't sing a word, but I think he liked it. Kaeson enjoyed it until the cold got the best of him and then he just started signing "all done" over and over again. Even Grandma Taylor joined in on the fun. She was a trooper.

On Christmas Eve, we all acted out the Nativity. My mom made every one of these outfits herself, plus little puppets to go with the story for every family! How amazing is she?!!!!

We tried to take advantage of the snow and took the kids sledding on a hill a few blocks away. Parker didn't love it! He's not much of a daredevil! Then Lance took him down a fast one and they took a pretty good spill and he was definitely over it!

The boys in their Christmas outfits from Grandma Patty.

The oldest three grandkids in their Christmas outfits.

We all went bowling one day and had a ton of fun. I especially enjoyed it since I walked away with bragging rights for the high score!

Christmas Vacation (Part 1)

I know I am way behind again, and I should have posted forever ago, but better late than never, right? As soon as Lance finished his fall Semester, we flew out to Wyoming and were able to spend a lot of time with family. We started the Holidays in Douglas and got to spend nearly two whole weeks before Christmas with the Anderson Family. We were even lucky enough to have a the whole entire Anderson family together for a while. We took family pictures, had the gift exchange with the cousins, played games, had fondue, the kids made slime, candy necklaces, and decorated gingerbread cookies. We had so much fun together. Grandma Anderson's house was overrun by little children! We are so glad we were able to spend so much time with family!

Gathered around the table enjoying our Chocolate fondue!

Kaeson loved climbing on top of the fireplace! So Parker decided to join him just one time!.

Parker with his Cars DS game from Texie! It was a big hit. It's the only game he ever wants to play on his DS.

All the big boys showing their muscles.

Carter and Luke making slime. The kids LOVED their slime!

All the kids decorating gingerbread cookies

Kaeson feeding baby Chloe. He wouldn't even let Lance touch the bottle; he had to do it all by himself!

A few of the boys playing in the bathtub.

Kaeson enjoying his new helicopter from Edie and her kids. I couldn't even get him to look up at me for a picture because he was so into his cool new toy.

Playing catch up again

Our last few weeks have been full of craziness and excitement. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with great friends. And then a few of us girls did some mad Black Friday shopping. We left the house at 3:45 and got back home at about 12:30 with many wonderful finds. I was extremely pleased with my purchases. I have never done Black Friday shopping before because I've never lived anywhere with any shopping around, but I have to say I have become quite a fan! It's definitely worth braving the crowds if you ask me.

Saturday morning we took the kids to the mall to see Santa. Parker was pretty excited about it. And he loved chatting with Santa. Kaeson on the other hand doesn't consider Santa much of a friend just yet. I'm pretty sure I have a very similar picture of me sitting with Santa at this exact same age. While we were waiting in line to see Santa, they had some of the crazy mirrors, and the kids were pretty entertained by them. Parker kept jumping up and down to see how it distorted him and laughing. Kaeson just kept getting really close to it and putting his face against it.

Last weekend, Gina and Dave flew out to visit us for the weekend. We were so glad to have the company and I had a great time hanging out with them. Lance had finals to study for, so we weren't able to do a lot of fun stuff, but we were happy to have them here! Parker loved having Peyton around to play with.

We are heading out tomorrow to spend the holidays with family. We are so excited! It's been since July that we've been out with family. It will be so fun to have a break from the stresses of school for a few weeks, and just enjoy family and the holidays.

Shh! Don't tell Lance

The other night, Parker and Lance were out, and it was just me and Kaeson at home. We were sitting on the couch, and I just couldn't resist the urge to put one of my bows in his hair! So here he is, wearing a bow in his hair. He kept trying to pull it out, be he did think it was pretty funny when I had him look at himself in the mirror. Lance knows I took the picture, but I don't think he would be too impressed that I posted it on the blog!

Halloween Pictures--A little late.

I'm a little slow to post, but better late than never huh?  We had a great Halloween this year.  The weather was pretty nice, and the kids were cute as ever.  Parker was "Super Why".  For those of you who don't know who that is, Super Why is a PBS cartoon that solves problems by going inside books and changing the story .  Super Why is the main super hero in the show.  Parker loves the show and he was really excited when we found this costume.  Kaeson was a very adorable Tigger.

Parker marched up to every house and said Trick or Treat without hesitation.  He got a little sick on Halloween day, so we thought it might keep us from doing much, but he toughened up just in time!  Kaeson just kept stopping in the middle of the sidewalk, putting his pumpkin down, and taking candy out and staring at it.  He held up all the kids behind us!  Between Trunk or Treating, the Jtown pumpkin fest, and regular trick or treating, we have more candy than we can ever get rid of!
