Bowling

We have been promising to take Parker bowling for a few weeks now, so we finally took him on Saturday.  We went a few times in Laramie, and he has always really liked it, but he had a blast this time.  This place was a few steps up from Afton's good old 5 lane, smoke filled, keep your own score bowling alley!!  This place was lit up with cool colorful lights everywhere, and they had it programmed so that the bumpers automatically came up every time it was Parker's turn to bowl.  It also kept track of your ball speed, and Parker managed to push one ball at .74 mph!  Impressive! It was a pretty fancy place to us country folk!
It is also important to note, that I beat Lance quite handily with my incredible score of 96!  Embarrassing, but true.  Lance bowled a whopping 78!  I took a picture of our final scoreboard as evidence but it didn't turn out so well.  If you look closely however, you can make out the scores.
Parker thought he was so big, and he had to pick the ball up and carry it all by himself every time.  I thought for sure he was going to drop it on his toes before we were done, but he didn't.

Kaeson also really enjoyed himself!  He slept the whole time we were there.

Parker would jump up and down and cheer like this after EVERY single time he bowled, whether he hit 1 pin or 7.  He was so excited. Every time he got done, he would say, It's Parker's turn.  It was a fun day, and I'm so glad we went.  Parker loved every second of it!

Blessing Day!

Today was Kaeson's blessing day!  We blessed him here in Louisville.  It was great and Lance gave a beautiful blessing.  It was hard to decide to bless him here without any of our family able to come, but we are grateful to have great friends here who were able to be a part of it.  Here are a few pictures.  He looks so perfect in his little blessing outfit!

Some friends in Lance's class invited us to go to Huber Farm with them today, so we decided to go along.  We weren't really sure what was there, but we were pleasantly surprised at how cool it was.  We only got to a fraction of the things to do there.  We picked apples and pumpkins, played a little volleyball, had some caramel apples, and took a few wagon rides.  They also had a petting zoo, pony rides, playgrounds, bouncy toys, apple launches, corn mazes, and cow train rides, but they all cost money and we didn't have enough time. This place was huge!!!    We will have to go back sometime now that we know what is there.

Parker posing in the pumpkin patch.
Kaeson slept the whole time we were there.
JD and Parker walking through the apple trees.  There were rows and rows of apple trees!  I couldn't believe how big this place was.
Parker, me, Brandon, Brittany, JD, Quinn, Jaden, and Lexi riding the wagon to the pumpkins.
the second we walked outside, he said, "It's bright. I need Sunglasses," and he walked right back into the house. He wore them off and on the whole day, because it was way bright and really hot.  We were all sweating from the heat.  All you back home dealing with snow, can be jealous!!!

This is the end of Parker's Caramel Apple.  He loved it!!!

Ball on the Belle

Lance's Dental School had their "Ball on the Belle" on September 20.  It's a dance for the dental students that they have on the  riverboat called the Belle.  Lance tried to keep it from me because he didn't want to go, but of course, I found out from a friend (Thanks Heather) and insisted we get a babysitter and go.  I'm glad we went, even though I couldn't get Lance to dance at all!

Daphne Parker, Me, Megan Wyatt, Heather Mills, Ashley Baker, and Natalie Evans all in our little black dresses.
