Two Years Old!!!

My Kaeson turned 2 yesterday! Man time flies! He is growing up so fast! We sure do love that kid! He is so full of joy and has the cutest personality! He loves his big brother and wants to do everything he does. He loves baby Mimi as he calls her, and always thinks he is taking care of her. He is so happy, and always doing something that makes us laugh. He's recently learned that it can be a lot of fun to get everyone's attention and make us all laugh at him. He loves to help around the house. He helps me with laundry, puts lots of things away for me, and loves to go get anything I need (diapers, wipes, socks, you name it). He helps keep my house clean, it's wonderful!

We had some friends in the ward over for a BBQ to celebrate his birthday. It was a beautiful day and it was lots of fun. We had a pinata for all the kids, lots of food, some backyard golf, and birthday cake. It was a perfect day. After the kids went to bed, the party even continued with a movie outside projected on the house! Kaeson of course got spoiled rotten with lots of great presents from grandparents, cousins, and friends. He was so excited when it was finally time to open his presents! When I told him he could open them, he jumped off the couch cheering, and ran around the house with excitement. While we were bringing all the presents out, he was so full of excitement that he apparently couldn't contain, that he just started rolling around the living room laughing. He is a funny kid!

Christmas in August

A few weekends ago, we went with a few friends to an amusement park called Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. It was an insanely crowded and super hot day. The lines were crazy long so everything took forever, and the heat was miserable. In spite of all that, though, we managed to have a great time.It is a really cool park! Every area has a different holiday theme. And they give free soft drinks all day long! The kids loved every second of it; especially Parker. He came off of every ride giggling with excitement, and looking for the next thing to ride. He had even more fun because Ella, his favorite friend in the world was there to enjoy it all with him. He loves that girl! Parker and Kaeson also loved the water park too. It was hard to get them out of there. We got there pretty close to when the park opened and didn't leave til closing. It was a long day, but so worth it to see the kids have so much fun! I was wondering what we were thinking going on such a busy and hot day, and then I rode the coolest roller coaster ever, and I left the park as happy as the kids!]
Me, Katherine and Megan were so excited to ride this little kiddy ride. We were like the only adults on it, and we were the only ones screaming! It was pretty sweet!

Parker and Ella loving the airplanes!

This was Parker's favorite! He was giggling so hard the whole time. Adorable!

Kaeson took a little while to warm up to the rides. We couldn't get him to crack a smile on the first few. Here's one where he finally smiled

Nothing like it!

It doesn't get any better than the good ole Lincoln County Fair! Ha ha that may be a stretch, but it is pretty sweet! I love being home during the fair. There is something to do and I always get to see a lot of people I don't see often. It seemed like there was so much more fun stuff to do down there when i was a kid, though! The kids loved it! Parker was way excited about the rides and playing in the kids' area there. Grandpa must have bought him a dozen sno-cones while we were there too! He was in heaven!

The boys and a few of their cousins riding the rides

Parker and Hallie riding the dragon roller coaster.
We didn't get a picture of Parker on his favorite ride. The whole time, he would just giggle like crazy! He loved it. He referred to it as "the ride that makes me laugh."

All of us on my Uncle Ron's float in the Fair Parade. For those of you who don't know, my Uncle Ron is running for Governor of Wyoming. If you live in Wyoming, please make sure you vote on Tuesday!

Parker also got to ride a sheep in the Junior Rodeo. He talked about it for weeks before, and couldn't wait to do it. After last year's sad attempt, I wasn't holding my breath that he would actually do it, but he did, and he did so good. I know it sounds silly, but I was SOOO proud of him. You know you're from Wyoming when..... Ha I know i'm a dork, but it was a very proud moment for me! He held on really tight, and didn't let go until his feet came over his head and forced him off. He cried when he fell off, but he was pretty tough!

If you click on the picture and blow it up, you can see how good he was holding on. He looks like a true ridin cowboy! Thanks Kayc for the awesome photography!

My sister in law took this picture of Kaeson while we were sitting at the Junior Rodeo. I know I might be a tad bias but he is so stinkin cute! This picture should be on the cover of a magazine!

The whole Taylor family at the fair. This was the best family picture we could get before my brother leaves on his mission, because he was working at the fair the whole time we were there. We are all standing in front of my uncle's "Micheli for Governor" booth at the fair. I think it actually turned out pretty good.

We all had a great time at the fair! Parker is already talking about going again next year! Hopefully we'll be able to make it again!

Macie's Blessing Day

For the last week, we have been in Wyoming spending time with family while Lance had a break from school. We had a great trip and we are so glad we got to see everyone. My whole family was together all week. It was a lot of craziness and chaos all week, but it's so nice to have everyone together. We decided it was the perfect time to bless Macie while we were all together. Lance's mom, his sister Texie and her 4 kids, and his brother Loren and wife Kaycee all made the trip up to SV for the weekend as well. The blessing was beautiful, and it was wonderful to have so many family members able to be there for such a special day. Here are a few pictures of her blessing day. I'll have to add a few more later, because we took the group pictures with Kaycee's camera and I don't have them yet. The blessing dress Macie is wearing is the one my mother made for my baby blessing nearly 27 years ago! As you can see my mother is amazingly talented and the dress is so beautiful! My younger sister was blessed in it as were both of her girls. That makes Macie the fifth baby to be a part of the tradition!

More Pictures of Macie

Our little Macie is growing so fast. I can't believe she's already 3 weeks old! Where does the time go? She is still a tiny little thing, but she is growing a lot. I haven't taken her to the doctor since she was three days old, so I don't know what she weighs now, but we know she's a lot bigger than she was. The boys still love her to pieces. They walk by and say hi to her about a hundred times a day, hold her for periods of about five seconds, and love to be right in her face, and then go about their day hardly giving her a second glance for hours. She's still sleeping really well throughout the day and waking up twice each night. She tends to get a little fussy in the evenings, but overall as long as the stays fed and rested, she is quite content. Here are a few updated pictures of our beautiful little girl.

My ever talented friend Katherine crocheted Macie this adorable little brimmed hat. As with all the wonderful things Katherine spoils us with, I LOVE this!

This picture makes her look really chubby! She's really not very chubby at all yet!

Macie after Church last week. This is another dress from Katherine!

Little Sister

We are loving having this sweet baby in our home! Thus far, she has been a perfect baby! She rarely cries, is sleeping great, and very content. The boys still love her, but don't mess too much with her. Parker informed me the other day that he doesn't want her to grow, he just wants her to stay tiny forever. If only! She is only sleeping for stretches of three hours at night, but she usually just eats and goes right back to sleep, so I can't complain! Life with a newborn is so wonderful! I wish she could stay tiny forever too!

Kaeson loves to hold her, but it usually lasts about five seconds.

This is one of the dresses that my friend Katherine made for her. Isn't it so cute?!! It fits better than any newborn clothes she owns too. Katherine is very talented!

Parker doesn't usually last too long holding her either, but he sure loves her. He must say, "she's so cute" about one hundred times a day.

I think she looks to beautiful in this bow! My sister in law Edie sent it to us and I absolutely love it! Thanks Edie

This is a very common scene around here. The boys hovering over Macie, talking to her and touching her.

Life is pretty good around here! We are so blessed!
